PHP is one of the most popular web scripting languages. The presentation will introduce attendees to PHP on IBM i and provide information to guide attendees on how to get started using PHP for application development. No doubt PHP is a great fit for web development on IBM i. The first step is becoming familiar with PHP on IBM i. The presentation will discuss the history of PHP on IBM i, reasons for PHPs success, answer why PHP on i, typical stages of PHP on i, what you must know, discuss i5 toolkit, PHP basics on i, and grass roots how to get started.

Laura Ublehor

Laura Ubelhor owns and operates Consultech Services, Inc., a consulting company established in 1992 and based in Rochester, Michigan. The organization specializes in providing an array of services, including project management, design, development, implementation, and support of business applications. Laura has extensive hands-on experience working with a long list of clients in a variety of businesses with applications deployed on a variety of platforms, including Web-based business applications. She is active in the Southeast Michigan iSeries User group, serving as a board member since 1988 and as president for several years. Laura co-authored “HTML for the Business Developer” published by MCPress. Laura is an active volunteer at Common currently residing as Assistant Director of the Common Education Foundation.
