The meeting will be an informal session featuring SQL. Group members will share SQL code examples with fellow user group members during the meeting. The session will be used to review and discuss the SQL code examples and have an informal open discussion about use of SQL on IBM i. Paul Tuohy will be on hand to critique and share expertise. Submitted code examples will be placed on the group's iDevcloud box for members to access and review during and after the meeting. The code examples will be placed in the SEMIUG SQL library.

About the Guest Expert:

Paul has worked in application development on IBM midrange systems for more than 20 years. He was the IT manager of Kodak Ireland and Technical Director of Precision Software and is currently the CEO of ComCon, an IBM I consulting company.

Since the late 80s, he has also worked with IBM developing and teaching courses in programming and application development. Paul is the author of “Re-Engineering RPG Legacy Applications” and is one of the quoted industry experts in the IBM Redbook “Who Knew You Could Do That With RPG IV”. He is an award winning speaker at a number of Common US conferences and works as a subject matter expert (SME) with Common US.

Paul is a regular contributor to the Search400 web site and writes for IBM i Experts Journal.
