Special Instructions: The meeting will be in the "Customer Service" building. You do not need to pass the security shack. Parking is in behind the building and to the right of the security shack. Enter the building through the door with the canopy labeled "Education/Training".

The meeting will be an informal session featuring RPG Free. Group members will share RPG Free code examples with fellow user group members during the meeting. The session will be used to review and discuss the RPG Free code examples. We will have an industry expert on hand to critique and share expertise. Submitted code examples will be placed on the group's iDevcloud box for members to access and review during and after the meeting. The code examples will be placed in the RPGFREE library.

About the Guest Expert:

Barbara Morris

Barbara Morris is the lead developer for the RPG compiler in the IBM Toronto Lab. She has been working on the RPG compilers since she started at IBM in 1989 after receiving a Computing Science degree from the University of Alberta.

LUG iDevcloud Box Access

As a member of SEMIUG you have access to the LUG iDevcloud box. The box is available for user group members to use for hands on learning. The box is loaded with OS V7R1 and is loaded with all of the compilers and tools needed for you to be able to explore and learn new skills. If you’d like to develop skills with RPG, RPG Free, RPG OA, SQL, PHP, Java and more, this is a great place to use as a sandbox for learning.
