Service-Oriented Architecture is arguably the most important concept in current computer applications.
This presentation will describe the important concepts, how it differs from more traditional IBM i applications, what it means to program design, and some of the tools available on IBM i that can be used to expose service-oriented interfaces.

Rich is a Senior Technical Staff Member in the IBM Lab Services Power Delivery Practice for IBM i. His specialties include application modernization, cryptography, application communication, and unusual requests. He has been working at IBM Rochester for a third of a century and in Lab Services for the last couple of decades.
