Tom Huntington Executive VP, Technical Solutions
Tom Huntington is Executive Vice President of Technical Solutions at HelpSystems, and has been with the company for nearly 30 years. He helps manage the worldwide HelpSystems software engineer team that works to integrate and promote our automation and security solutions to partners and customers around the globe. Tom often speaks on enterprise scheduling, security, automation topics, IBM i technology, and the HelpSystems products, and hosts technical presentations on a variety of automation topics. He is the author of the HelpSystems IBM i Marketplace Survey and has written articles on automated operations, security, cloud computing, and business intelligence for leading trade journals and newsletters. He was named an IBM Champion in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 for over three decades of advocation and thought leadership on the IBM i platform. .
Laura Ubelhor Senior Consultant and Owner / Consultech Services, Inc.
Laura Ubelhor has been providing technical services to clients for over 30 years, specializing in IBM i application development and support. Laura owns and operates Consultech Services, Inc., a Michigan-based technical consulting organization established in 1992. Consultech has experience with a variety of business industries and programming languages and has experience on several platforms in addition to IBM i. Laura has a BBA and MSM degree from Walsh College. She has been President of the South East Michigan IBM i User Group for a number of years and also has actively volunteered at COMMON for many years, currently serving as Secretary of the Common Education Foundation. Laura frequently authors articles and has two published books through MC Press. Laura is a an IBM community cheerleader and education advocate often connecting and providing opportunity for organizations, individuals, and students to connect and learn.
Charles Guarino President / Central Park Data Systems
Charles Guarino believes in the power of IBM Power Systems. His career reflects his interest in bringing the platform and its solutions to others. Charles started his professional journey as a department of one. Today, he is serving individuals on a worldwide basis though his consulting work and award-winning speaking engagements. Charles is a true people person and can often be found at conferences sharing his expertise in RDi and other IBM i topics.
Mike Pavlak Solution Engineer / Perforce Software
Mike Pavlak has been working with IBM midrange solutions since 1992 and IBM Mainframes before that. After years of developing applications using RPG and CL, he managed IT development and IT for power protection manufacturer Tripp Lite. Mike was instrumental in developing the adoption of PHP as the first open source language on IBM i and later joined Zend Technologies. Today, as a Solution Engineer with Perforce (Zend), Mike helps companies approach the challenges of modernization and open source technologies. In addition to several roles as a volunteer with COMMON, Mike also teaches PHP and Python classes part time at Moraine Valley Community College in suburban Chicago. Mike lives in suburban Chicago with his wife, five kids, a dog, a cat, two tortoises, and a half dozen fish.
